DH Special on April 24th
Instead of a re-run on the 24th, ABC will air a special entitled: "Desperate Housewives: Sorting Out The Dirty Laundry". The end of the season (last four eps) will air on May 1, 8, 15 and 22.

New Cast Member: Alfre Woodard
The Emmy Award winner will be joining the DH cast for season 2. Her character is described as "a deeply religious, overbearing single mother who moves to Wisteria Lane after her son gets involved in a bad situation with a girl in their old neighborhood.” She is definitely going to be a regular on the show so hopefully she is good.

Tennis Star Sharapova Offered a role
Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova who turns 18 on April 19 was offered a role in the popular TV series Desperate Housewives.

Such rumors appeared after the celebrations of the tennis-player's birthday, the Australian media reports. Sharapova decided to mark her birthday some days earlier.

Maria Sharapova has not given any answer to this proposal yet.

The tennis star works as a model in her free time. About 18 months ago she signed a contract with a leading model agency.

James Denton a New Daddy!
It's a girl for James Denton (Plays Mike Delfino) and his wife, Erin who just gave birth to child #2 , 'Maiin.' James also has a 2-yr old son.

Madonna...Desperate Housewife?
Mark Cherry, creator of Desperate Housewives recently mentioned that Madonna was very interested in a guest spot on the acclaimed drama. Um, Madonna? A housewife? This is gonna be hard to believe.

Don't feel guilty...it's a great show!
Mark Cherry, is pissed that people are calling his show a "guilty pleasure" because he feels its quality stands on its own. I think most would agree, and regardless of what people are calling it, it's an AMAZING ratings hit and ABC is loving every bit of it.
